Impression Dental Milling Machines

The vhf dental milling machines are available in different variants – two machine types each of the K series and of the S series. All systems impress by their high-quality components like the integrated Harmonic Drive® rotary axes – just as one example. On top of that the automatic rotary axes measurement and the automatic axis compensation guarantee a consistently high machining precision – and thus perfect results. Three machine types additionally accelerate your machining process by an automatic tool changer, one type additionally offers a blank changer for ten blanks.


Impression K Models


Most obvious is the extremely compact design of the K models. Upon closer examination, the uncompromisingly rigid construction of the machines leaps to the eye. So it is ensured that you will achieve first-class results – even in extremely hard non-precious alloys on cobalt-chrome basis.

Also the operation is easy: With our best-selling model CAM 4-K4 Impression you get an automatic tool changer with six stations which enables a complete machining of the workpiece – from the initial rough machining up to the ultimate finishing – without manual intervention of the operator. However, if it should for instance not be possible to provide compressed air, we recommend CAM 4-K3 Impression where the tools can be exchanged thanks to a convenient quick chucking device also by hand within seconds. In order to exchange a blank in both machines, the fixing device will be automatically moved to the front of the machining area so that this can be done quickly and comfortably.

Impression S Models

CAM 5-S1 Impression and CAM 5-S2 Impression are dental milling machines with five simultaneously working axes. Due to the second rotary axis (B axis) with a rotation range of up to ± 30 degrees undercuts can be milled without any difficulty. Thus, these machines are a perfect addition to the very successful K models with their four axes.

While developing this new machine series it had been important for us to maintain the successful characteristics of the K models: the easy operation, the compact high-quality construction and the very favourable price! Furthermore, we wanted to offer new machining possibilities to the user and make the new machines more comfortable.

Besides the additional fifth axis, the S models distinguish themselves from the K models above all by their more powerful and more precise synchronous spindle and by the automatic tool changer for 16 tools. In addition to the currently required tools, you can equip the tool changer with replacement tools. Thus you can continue working without interruption if a tool is worn out or broken. In order to create a solid basement for the highly precise five-axis mechanics, the machine bed of the S models consists of one single massive cast part. This makes these machines extremely stable with minimal exterior dimensions. Moreover, vibrations are reduced and the mechanics is optimally protected.

  • CAM Software

    For designing your workpieces, you can use any CAD program. For the subsequent preparation of the data for the machining process, we recommend: Software DentalCAM 5: three-dimensional data can be imported from any CAD software via the standardized STL format and will be processed for the output



    Accessories

    Wet Grinding Option (Impression S Models Only)
    Both models of the S series are already prepared for wet grinding materials like glass ceramics. The tool is optimally cooled via liquid nozzles which are mounted directly at the spindle. This set consists of a pump station with appropriate feed and drain hoses for a liquid closed loop, a workpiece holder for four glass ceramics blocks and a software extension for Dental-CAM. Available from 2nd half of 2013.

    Cabinet
    The stable cabinet offers much space for your blanks, tools and accessories. Its massive granite plate underlines the high-value appearance of your system. Its dimensions are: 950 x 600 x 1,160 mm (W/D/H). An additional shelf plate is mounted on the side of the cabinet for the S Series.

    Administrated Tool Board (ATB)
    This tray with its elegant granite base-plate can be used for storing tools which are not directly inserted into the tool changer of the machine. All 30 positions are accordingly numbered and will be administrated by the DentalCAM software. So all information concerning geometry, endurance, etc. remains linked with each tool and you can dispose in total of a much larger active pool of tools.

    Blank changer CAM 5-S2 Impression.

    If you like it even more comfortable, we recommend the model CAM 5-S2 Impression, which is supplementary equipped with a blank changer for eight blanks. You fit the changing station with blanks via a smaller additional front cover. The proper blank for your milling job is inserted into the fixing device automatically when required.

    Both machines are prepared for connecting the wet grinding option. There are liquid nozzles already mounted at the spindle so that the cooling liquid can be applied straight to the tool tip. Thus you can also process materials like glass ceramics.
